Cataract Care Expansion
Territorial Prioritization Platform
Overview
Built a territorial prioritization platform and reports for a Mexican social enterprise expanding affordable eye surgery, scoring states and municipalities on modeled demand and supply gaps.
Highlights
- 01
Built a Next.js 16 platform whose MapLibre map clusters 11,405 georeferenced eye-care and health facilities from DENUE and CLUES, with an accessible SVG choropleth as fallback.
- 02
Designed an offline GeoPandas pipeline that measures distances in EPSG:6372 and assigns facilities to 2,469 municipalities through point-in-polygon joins, with Zod schemas validating the data at build time.
- 03
Tested ranking robustness with a Monte Carlo re-weighting analysis (P5–P95 rank ranges) and labeled every priority score in the interface as modeled, not measured.
