Overview

Led the v2 redesign of BlackPrint's map copilot, turning a chat widget into a tool-grounded assistant that operates the territory-intelligence platform through typed, user-confirmed actions.

   Rebuilt the FastMCP/FastAPI backend around a v2 turn protocol with streaming and a model-provider ladder, wrapping all 38 tools in a shared ToolEnvelope with per-tool authorization, audit telemetry and contracts that generate OpenAPI, JSON Schema and TypeScript types from a single source.

   Grew the typed UI action bus from 34 to 53 action types behind a server-side confirmation gate with result acknowledgments, letting the assistant drive the Mapbox map, panels, portfolio and reports of the Astro/React 19 frontend.

   Hardened the service with 10 security fixes, including signature-verified JWTs and session cookies cut from ≈166.7 days to 4 h, made the schema tenant-aware (org_id across 10 tables), and built evaluation harnesses from 12 golden cases up to a 778-question blind-annotated gold set, backed by a 2,742-test backend regression run.
