Mall Brand-Fit Study
Fashion Retail Expansion Scorecard
Overview
Built a reproducible Node.js and PostgreSQL pipeline and a single-file editorial report that scored eight brands of a global fashion retail group for an opening at a major shopping mall in northwestern Mexico.
Highlights
- 01
Wrote SQL verification gates that changed conclusions: an exact mall filter (165 units, 133 open, matching the operator's published count) and a block on peso-denominated market size once household-survey spend periodicity proved undeterminable.
- 02
Replaced Euclidean rings with Mapbox drive-time isochrones: the 15-minute isochrone holds 34% fewer households than a 7 km ring (81,827 vs. 124,838), so rings overstated the reachable market.
- 03
Rendered 13,358 block polygons on a Leaflet canvas with integer delta-encoded geometry, inside a deterministic build that reproduces the analysis and the report byte for byte.
